Smurfs Pick

The Walking Dead #154 Walking Dead #154> Led to slaughter. (W) Robert Kirkman (A) Charlie Adlard

Smurfs Take> A while ago I stop listing Walking Dead in the top five for the simple reason that it should be a must for most comic book readers these days. I have found more people reading the book than I have that are not but I don’t want the wonder of this book overlooked. I have been on since day one and have never regretted it even through the loss of characters that I have loved. Now it’s going further into the term Walking Dead with the whisperers and the new world order they represent while Rick tries to hold what he can of the world he is building together. It’s never dull, it’s always an unexpected ride and who knows what twist is on the next page.

Trade Paperback of the Week

IXth Generation Vol. 2 TP IXth Generation Vol. 2 TP> Eight centuries in the future, a group of cybernetic deities–the IXth Generation–have awakened to find themselves in charge of a world kneeling at their feet and faced with an ancient evil known as the Darkness. But instead of unifying against this common enemy, the IXs have fallen into bitter infighting and territorial battles, risking the fate of the world they were meant to rule. Will the discovery of other ancient Artifacts—including Aphrodite IX’s wielding of the Witchblade—bring hope to this barren future? And will the Protocol be fulfilled… or subverted? (W) Matt Hawkins (A) Atilio Rojo

Statue of the Week

Alien Warrior Drone Alien Statue> From Koto. The Alien is brought to life in this highly detailed 1/10-scale ARTFX+ statue. The Alien Warrior creeps forward, crouching on a specially designed base that is based on the flooring of the spaceship Sulaco.

Smurfs Take> About time this happened, I have always thought they were missing the boat by not producing statues of all the different Aliens this looks amazing and is extremely well priced.
