In the 80’s there was one band that had the “Voice” and it didn’t seem to matter what the song was. Hell, he could have sang the Bennigans menu and have a hit. By the end Steve Perry had done the vocals on nine Journey albums and a pantheon of hits to carry on for two decades. Perry left the band for personal and health reasons, I thought he was never coming back. Then just the other day I heard an old familiar voice echoing from my past with a new ballad for the ages. An album is due October 5, so for todays Classic Rock Wednesday here is “No Erasin” from Traces. I’m the Listener, and the moment I heard this I was a teenager once more.
