Smurfs Take> I never thought the day would come. #1000 one of the most beloved and versatile character in the DCU. Not bd for a guy who doesn’t have any powers. The world’s greatest Detective still has plenty to do. I can’t remember a time that I haven’t been a Batman fan, even as a kid running in the back yard with a dish towel as a cape. A must have for everyone this week. Just to see what’s new, get reacquainted, or continue your run this is something that just doesn’t happen every day.

heroes in crisis 7Heroes in Crisis #7> The Trinity may have uncovered the true killer responsible for the deaths at Sanctuary, but the artificial intelligence that ran the institution is the one thing standing between them and the culprit. Now Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman must face off with their own creation-and face the consequences for what they created. Also, as the truth is uncovered, Booster and Harley go from being enemies to allies. (S) Tom King (A) Clay Mann (CA) Mitch Gerads

Smurfs Take> Book of the year right here! I don’t know how they are going to pull this whole thing together in the next few issues. This has been a hell of a story! One that makes you proud to be a collector and reader. Stunning!

amazing 18Amazing Spider-Man #18> “HUNTED” PART 2
Kraven’s plan begins to unfold in CENTRAL PARK! He lets the prey loose and the hunt begins. But Kraven isn’t the hunter this time. Who has Spider-Man in their crosshairs?! (S) Nick Spencer (A/CA) Humberto Ramos

Smurfs Take> So far not so bad. What I love about it is Kraven isn’t just focused on Spidey. All of the animal based villains are targets as well. Are we going to see some high casualties out of this? Ramos art is on point the story is solid and I really am enjoying this.

black-science-39Black Science #39> “NO AUTHORITY BUT YOURSELF,” Part One (of Four) His entire life, Grant McKay fought against conformity, preferring anarchy to submission. Now, with reality reeling from the aftershocks of the Pillar, every choice Grant makes might be his last. Dimensionauts steel themselves for their final adventure as RICK REMENDER and MATTEO SCALERA bring their seminal pulp science-fiction epic to a mind-shattering finale. (S) Rick Remender (A) Moreno Dinisio Matteo Scalera

Smurfs Take> Love this book, have since issue one. I will be sad to see it end but the thought of how is so compelling. A book of twist and never afraid to smoke a character is always so refreshing to see.

dr strange 12Doctor Strange #12> After the incredible #400, Doc is finally face to face with the man who controls Earth’s magic! What chance does Strange have against a foe who can literally turn Strange’s spells off?! (S) Mark Waid (A) Barry Kitson (CA) Jesus Saiz

Smurfs Take> Last issue was amazing! Wow! And of course now I have to see what happens and where the story goes. What I have enjoyed most about this title is the different approach to Strange. He is still mysterious and master of the dark arts and all but there is just more of a human side. You can relate a little better with him and feel the weight of what he is and the humor that sometimes goes with it.
