war realmes 1War of Realms #1> Asgard. Alfheim. Heven. Jotunheim. Muspelheim. Niffleheim. Nidavellir. Svartalfheim. Vanaheim. All of the Ten Realms have fallen to Malekith and his army except one: Midgard. Home to Thor’s beloved humans. Home to heroes and gods alike. Now, at last, it burns. And Thor won’t even be there to see it.
All hell breaks loose in New York City as Malekith and his allies begin their invasion – and the greatest heroes of the Marvel Universe watch as the Earth falls! (S) Jason Aaron (A) Russell Dauterman (CA) Arthur Adams, Matthew Wilson

Smurfs Take> This is going to be awesome! I have been waiting months for this to start and ready to see something other than aliens challenge our heroes. This in my mind is going to be way more of a challenge and cant wait to get started on it.

cosmic GR distroys marvel 2Cosmic Ghost Rider Destroys Marvel History #2> The Destruction of Marvel History continues!
Can Cosmic Ghost Rider take up the mantle once Spider-Man is no more? With great power, there must also come total irresponsibility! Take a seat and prepare to have your childhood memories destroyed. (S) Paul Scheer, Nick Giovannetti (A) Todd Nauck (CA) Gerardo Zaffino

Smurfs Take> Ok, no real surprises in the first issue. Was everything I expected? Well yes it was but that isn’t a bad thing and in fact I liked it. Fun and entertaining story so much so that it made me look forward to the next issue and not chuck it in the bin. I don’t know what it is about this character that keeps pulling me back but I’m not disappointed when he does.

justice league 21Justice League #21> The Justice League pulls back the curtain on their futures and learns that not everything is what they’ve seen. The team goes to confront the Justice League of Tomorrow for the truth, but can they handle it? Meanwhile, with his powers waning, Superman struggles to remain hopeful on a world with no sunlight. (S) Scott Snyder (A/CA) Jorge Jimenez

Smurfs Take> Love Love Love! Snyder is showing off some of his best writing ever!

immortal hulk 16Immortal Hulk #16> Once upon a time, Rick Jones was the Hulk’s best friend. Now Rick Jones is dead…and gone. To learn why, Bruce Banner will have to face roaming gamma experiments, an assassin out for his blood…and the one thing that can cage the IMMORTAL HULK. (S) Al Ewing (A) Joe Bennett (CA) Alex Ross

Smurfs Take> I never thought I would be this attached to a Hulk title after all I have read over the years. There have been some amazing moments for this book, too many to list but would be happy to share if you message me. The point is this has gone way beyond any of those and has a real monsters and mystery feel that no book is doing today.

conan the barbarian 5Conan The Barbarian #5> SET SAIL ON A SHIP OF THE DEAD!
CONAN leaves the land for the life of a pirate! How did he survive disaster during the most ominous voyage of his life on a ship surrounded by dead men? And the CRIMSON WITCH’s dark plans for KING CONAN become grimly clear! PLUS: The fifth chapter in the ALL-NEW Conan novella “BLACK STARLIGHT,” begun in issue #1 of CONAN THE BARBARIAN! (S) Jason Aaron (A) Mahmud A. Asrar (CA) Esad Ribic

Smurfs Take> God I have missed Conan! What has me soooo hooked on this title is…well everything. The Art, the story, and it just feels like the old Conan I knew and loved as a kid. The lore and mystery are all there. Conan being Conan in all the best ways possible and should be in everyone’s pull.
