After the epic “Avengers: Endgame”, it was time to tone things down a bit this week and see something more down to earth. So, I chose “The Long Shot” because the previews made me laugh and maybe it could be fun too.
*The MEAT* The story is *Typical* as your usual misfit falls in love with someone who is out of his league love story goes. I was expecting a more political statement due to today’s political climate, so I was glad to see that there was not much of that.
*The POTATOES* Seth Rogan plays a good, Seth Rogan again, so you know what you are getting there. Charlize Theron is great as usual and totally gets into her character like she always has for all her roles. Because of Charlize, I will give the acting a *Good* grade.
*The Verdict* If you are looking for a decent date movie with a little bit of raunchy, then this is for you. “The Long Shot” will certainly entertain you, but you can wait for it to hit pay-per-view or even Netflix in a few months. Its *Not a Must See Now* movie for sure, but it is worth your time someday.
