Smurfs Take> If you don’t know about this book I need to work harder. This is one of the best titles both story and visually on the rack today. A treat for the senses that leaves you excited and always ready for the next issue. This the first trade paperback is out collecting the first six issues if you were waiting to read them all at once or missed out on the first couple of books.

Avengers #19> WAR OF THE REALMS TIE-IN!
Avengers Mountain is under siege as the last stronghold of Earth’s heroes is the subject of an all-out assault by the forces of Malekith! (S) Jason Aaron (A/CA) Ed McGuinness
Smurfs Take> One of the best run of Avengers of all time! I said it, wont take it back and now add the War of realms to it. It’s been outright destruction, chaos, and mayhem and I absolutely love it.
Flash #71> “The Flash Year One” continues! Barry Allen struggles to control his powers as he experiments with his newfound abilities. When one of his tests lands him in a mess, he’ll come face to face with his first villains! (S) Joshua Williamson (A/CA) Howard Porter
Smurfs Take> My take on this one is simple. Fantastic and hits on all points.
Marvel Comics Presents #5> Welcome to the 1980s, Marvel style! First, Wolverine’s Vigil goes into its fifth decade but doesn’t go the way he planned. Then, join Nightcrawler mid-Cross-Time Caper at the fall of the Berlin Wall! Finally, a pivotal Venom tale by fan-favorite creators Leah Williams and Guillermo Sanna! (S) Charles Soule, Chris Claremont, More (A) Paulo Siqueira, Luke Ross, More (CA) Arthur Adams
Smurfs Take> This title I think is just hitting at the right time for me. The writing and characters they have focused on have been perfect. It’s a step up and even better then how it was back in the early 90’s without a doubt. But the quick little short story approach is a hit and worth a read.
Ghost Tree #2> Brandt discovers more about his family’s past as he reels from a surprise return of someone that played a pivotal part in his life. Meanwhile, a malevolent creature begins to stalk the departed denizens of the Ghost Tree…
From writer Bobby Curnow (Ward’s Valley, TMNT) and artist Simon Gane (They’re Not Like Us, Godzilla). Character-based drama with heart! (S) Bobby Curnow (A/CA) Simon Gane
Smurfs Take> Great first issue, pulling you into a world that feels normal and familiar but with a hint of the supernatural. The characters are interesting and without going too far into it….soooo cool. What I expected? Sure, but way more.
