December is done! Thank the little baby Jesus or whatever other miracle makers we believe in.

All those tins and Tupperwares® of chocolates, candies, and cookies are quickly disappearing. And as we are getting done picking up all the wrapping paper, candle wax, and pine needles from around the house, it’s time to plan out which of Denver’s live performances we are going to attend in January.

There isn’t much happening in the first two weeks of the new year. That will have to be our opportunity to play with all the new action figures and video games, or to binge some of those ten-plus pound compendiums our significant others (or moms) were gracious enough to track down and buy us for the holidays.

It will be like making a holiday wish lists all over again after that. We have some tough choices to make as we select the shows we will attend in Denver in January. Six of the best ones are happening over just two nights!

Ladies & Gents, here’s a 5280 Geek gift to you for the holidays: Your Can’t-Miss Live Shows and Concerts in January. Enjoy!

January is going to offer a diverse selection of shows to attend in Denver. There’s everything from civil rights to Chinese lion dancers and firecrackers to bring-your-own-tots!

And did we mention that the Colorado Symphony Orchestra’s MLK event and the Lunar New Year festivities are both free to attend? Now we can’t use overspending on gifts in December as an excuse not to see a live show in January.

Good luck and great fortune to all our amazing 5280 Geek readers and fans in 2020. May the new year and decade bring many blessings into all our lives!

From all of us here at 5280 Geek, have a happy and safe New Year, and get out there and see something.

But most importantly, stay geeky, and always be wandering.

I always end up in the strangest places!

¹I do know Colorado Springs is not technically in the Denver area, just like Vail.

²Check in with your favorite restaurants and Asian-owned businesses to find out their scheduled events for the Lunar New Year. Many restaurants also offer special dinner entertainment and menus. Call them for details.
