Been wanting to see “JoJo Rabbit” for a while now. It has been getting rave reviews and I’m hearing that Taika Waititi has out done himself on this one. Now, we mostly know Waititi’s work best from “Thor: Ragnarök” which was a very fun movie. He also did “What We Do in the Shadows” which was a crazy, goofy take on vampires to say the least, but very much an original. So, Let’s see what all the praise is about.
*The MEAT* The story is actually quite *Original and Fantastic*, I mean I was expecting a little dry humor about a serious subject matter, but it turned out to be just as over the top humor as it was heartwarming while also being heartbreaking too. Talk about impressive, not many movies can do that.
*The POTATOES* I was very impressed with Scarlett Johansen performance here. And of course, I always look forward to Sam Rockwell in any movie because he never disappoints me. But this kid playing the lead role in this movie, Roman Griffin Davis was just fantastic. I can’t tell you how impressed I was with his performance. And on top of that, Taika Waititi played Hitler himself, which was a hilarious performance. I *Loved* the acting class in this movie.
*The VERDICT* “JoJo Rabbit” Was a very *Wonderful* surprise to me. I wasn’t expecting something this unique and special. Needless to say, I highly recommend “JoJo Rabbit”. It is still in theaters and available on Pay-Per-View, well worth your money either way. And I can’t wait to see what Taika Waititi does next.
