Classic Rock Wednesday

#CLRW Listener here and thanks to my post a couple weeks ago I have gone deep into the world of blues and I am loving it. Fact is it’s been a small lifetime since I’ve pulled out anything from that part of the vinyl collection. Now thanks to Adventures in Babysitting I’m revisiting some of the soulful sounds that helped build the rock world. More importantly I’m revisiting what some rockers now call home. And while we all can’t be the Stone’s or Aerosmith who seem to play rock forever some have moved a little step beyond.
Jefferson Airplane was a force in the 70’s and dipped a little into the 80’s with an extensive list of members but Jorma Kaukonen and Jack Casaady felt a pull, a calling to something deeper. Something to make you pause and just get lost in the moment as the music embarrasses you like the blues is meant to do. I’m talking about Hot Tuna, the song Trial By Fire, and one of the best performances a fan could hope for at a show. Here is my choice for this weeks Classic Rock Wednesday, something a little on the soulful side.
