Meat and Potatoes

hou_art_20191025_parasite_headerWell, I have been wanting to see what all the talk and positive reviews were about on “Parasite”, truth be told, I was in no hurry to see a movie that I have to read subtitles, it’s just hard to take it all in because I’m not the fastest reader. But it received the Best Picture at the Oscars this year and messed up most of my predictions. So, I better find out why.

*The MEAT* The story is *Very Original*. It will take you one way, throw you a curve and then hit you with more surprises along the way. And just when you think you have it figured out; it takes you somewhere else. Very fun.

*The POTATOES* The acting was good, so good it seemed like you were watching a real family. A *Very Good* job here as well.

*The VERDICT* Wow, just Wow! “Parasite” was surprisingly *Damn Good*. Is it Best Picture good? Well its right up there in the top 3 for sure. And as for having to read the subtitles, it was a little hard in the beginning, but then the movie draws you in so well that you will find yourself hardly noticing it. I don’t think “Parasite” was the best directed movie this year, but it was directed very well. All in all, I do recommend seeing this movie, seeing it in the theater helps focus on the subtitles better, but you can definitely get the whole experience at home too.

Stay Geeky.
