During The Apocalypse

The current COVID-19 coronavirus catastrophe really sucks! It’s enough to make the gray hairs on our heads multiply with the quickness.
The most crucial takeaway we’ve gathered from the constant bombardment of bad news and misinformation here at 5280 Geek is that if we hunker down in our homes, lock our doors and shut off all the lights, the virus won’t be able to get us.
If you too are doing the right thing by staying away from others during this time of crisis we commend you. It sure isn’t easy.
Of course becoming a shut-in Morlock mole-person is only tolerable for so long. . .
We hope to lessen that burden, as well as brighten your lock-down time, with some suggestions of the best ways to pass the time.
This week we’ve compiled a list of our favorite apocalyptic and post-apocalyptic content available. Here it is.

If you read, watch, or play even a few of these you will arise from your shelter vault better prepared for whatever dystopian future awaits in the world outside.
And even though we are inching closer to how Del the Funky Homosapien envisioned the future in his legendary 2000 release Deltron 3030, at least us geeks can still be entertained.
As with any list, we’re sure to have left out more than a few fan favorites. Feel free to use the comments section below to let us know which, so your neighbors won’t have to wonder why you’re yelling inside of your house.
That’s it for now. Stay geeky. Stay inside. And check back here often for more end-times fun.
We’ll see you then.
