Meat and Potatoes

It has been too long since a Big Hollywood Popcorn movie has been released, unfortunately our theaters are shut down. So, I will have to settle with watching it at home, but “Wonder Woman 84” is definitely a movie that I was looking forward to seeing on the Big Screen.

*The MEAT* The story is *Ridiculous* I am sorry, just no other way to describe my frustrations with it. The Director, who wanted more control, and the writers took a lot of liberties with WW’s powers, history, storyline, and villains here. The result was a frustrating mess that seemed to last forever.

*The POTATOES* Chris Pine is back, and has great chemistry with Gal Gadot, who is good again as Diana Prince (aka Wonder Woman). SNL alum, Kristen Wiig was an interesting choice to play Chetah, now she didn’t do a bad job with the character, more like the character was not written that well for her to work with. Speaking of bad writing, Pedro Pascal as the main villain was just *Horrible*, I know he is great as “The Mandalorian” and “GOT”, but this character and performance was cringeworthy.

*The VERDICT* At first, I wanted to describe this movie as pure *Cheese* and maybe that is what they were going for with the whole 80’s cheesy theme. But after sleeping on it, I will have to say, no, “Wonder Woman 84” is just bad, if not *Horrible* when you consider all the money invested in it with the build up from the first movie, which was a big success, and the “Justice League” DC Universe tie ins. Wonder Woman is a character that can and HAS been done better than this. I am sorry, but unless you are into disappointments, I would say to not bother seeing this film in any format.
