Future State: Dark Detective #3> In this issue, Bruce Wayne meets the next Batman! As the dark detective makes his move to put an end to the villainous Magistrate once and for all, the man who once wore the cowl encounters the next Batman-and these two have some questions for each other! Fists will fly as this explosive meeting erupts in the skies over Gotham…but with the clock ticking, can Bruce finish what he started and unlock the secrets of the fascist surveillance that plagues his city? And in “Grifters” part two, the lucky streak that Cole Cash and Luke Fox have enjoyed just hit a brick wall in the form of the Huntress! The over-the-top adventure in the gutters of Gotham City concludes in the most bone-crushing fashion possible! (S) Matthew Rosenberg, Mariko Tamaki (A) Carmine Di Giandomenico, Dan Mora
Smurfs Take> What really makes Batman? Is it the gadgets or the man under the cowl? I like the stripped down version of Batman and to be honest I don’t know how he was able to get around carrying all that stuff. Fact is I’m enjoying the shift in focus, more on the man and the skills, being a detective without all the weight of everything.
Daredevil #27> ENSNARED IN THE WEB!
As New York begins to crack under the weight of Knull’s symbiotic assault, Matt Murdock has a crisis of faith in the most electrifying issue of Chip Zdarksy and Marco Checchetto’s groundbreaking DAREDEVIL run yet. BUT THIS TIME, they’re joined by none other than MIKE HAWTHORNE, spearheading a brutal story that pits Daredevil against the god-king of the symbiotes himself – KNULL! (S) Chip Zdarsky (A) Mike Hawthorne (A/CA) Marco Checchetto
Smurfs Take> The last two issues have been very provocative, something I wasn’t expecting from this title at all. I know it’s the perfect storm of the crossover event added to an already tense situation and the end result is wonderful. Keep it coming.
Star Wars Darth Vader #10> THE RED HORROR!
After passing the test of THE EYE OF WEBBISH BOGG, DARTH VADER has learned the route to the hidden location of THE EMPEROR’S greatest secrets! But in THE RED NEBULA along the way, can Vader survive the onslaught of the greatest predator in the galaxy? Especially if the monster’s most brutal attack transcends the physical? And what horrors await the Emperor if a transformed Vader makes it to his dark door? (S) Greg Pak (A) Raffaele Ienco (CA) Aaron Kuder
Smurfs Take> I’m not sure what I envisioned would be going on after Revenge of the Sith between Vader and the Emperor. I didn’t think it was going to be this and the almost level of joy for the Emperor as he torments Vader. So many secrets and it really makes me wonder why Vader didn’t flip sooner but love the expanding story.
Taskmaster #3> TARGET: AMI HAN! Taskmaster’s journey to clear his name brings him to South Korea’s national super human espionage agency! But before he can target Director Han, he’ll have to go toe-to-toe with the White Fox! (S) Jed MacKay (A) Alessandro Vitti (CA) Valerio Giangiordano
Smurfs Take> Oh I do love me some Taskmaster! Perfect setup, perfect story, and everything I wanted and more. Has just been a fun and entertaining read.
Future State Robin Eternal #2> Tim Drake is dead at the hands of the Magistrate. Uh, so why is he getting back up again? With the dangerous and supercharged “Lazarus Resin” coursing through the veins of the hero once known as Robin, can Tim recover enough of his fragile psyche to finish the mission and blow the sky convoy? And can Spoiler and Darcy escape the clutches of Peacekeeper 03 in time to save their friend in the process? It all comes to a head in this cataclysmic finale! (S) Meghan Fitzmartin (A) Eddy Barrows
Smurfs Take> Issue one was completely a surprise hit for me. Tim has just been kind of left on the side, lost among all of the other Robins as of late so I didn’t have too high an expectation for this title….Totally wrong. Great read.

Smurfs Take> At last a statue I can get into! Ever since the shut down it feels like we have been lacking in the statue department. A few items here and there but nothing colossal as this full size glory before you. Clear off a spot, this baby needs a home for sure.
