Meat and Potatoes

John Krasinski’s pet project “A Quiet Place” was one of the better movie surprises in 2018 and a big hit at the box office. So, naturally a sequel will be made. But unfortunately, the second part was one of the first casualties of the Covid shutdowns last March. Now we have waited almost 15 months for it to come out because Krasinski wanted it to be a theater experience only. I have been looking forward to this and hope it is worth the wait.

*The MEAT* The story takes place right after the first one which works very well with just getting right back to business at hand and that is survival. I also like that fact that they do not explain much about how and why, the creatures are just here now so deal with them.

*The POTATOES* Emily Blunt is *Great* here again and totally commands the screen. What is also good is the acting of the two kids here, Noah Jupe and Millicent Simmonds have seriously upped their game at acting and do a *Great Job* indeed.

*The VERDICT* John Krasinski definitely does it again. His direction with the camera puts you in such a state of suspense that you find yourself wanting to hold your breath during much of this film. It is *Fun and Suspense* at its best and I do recommend seeing it at the theater for sure. The movie starts with a special message from Krasinski himself, thanking everyone in attendance for returning to the cinemas and hoping we all enjoy the movie. And I, for one, would like to thank John for giving us reason to return to the movie theater right now.
