Meat and Potatoes

“Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness” is a Marvel movie that I’m so looking forward to seeing because the last Spider-Man movie got me all excited to explore the Multiverse some more. This time Sam Raimi (“Spider-Man, Evil Dead”) is the director and he might just be the perfect warped mind for this kind of subject matter.

*The MEAT* The story is *A Surprise* from the last Dr. Strange movie and Marvel movies in general. Sam Raimi takes us on a very dark adventure here and revisits his “Evil Dead” roots which, if you’re familiar with, can be scary fun.

*The POTATOES* Benedict Cumberbatch has Dr. Strange down perfectly now. Racheal McAdams is back, but her role was not much for her to work with. By far though, the star of this film was *Elizabeth Olsen*, reprising her character as Wanda, the Scarlet Witch. Olsen takes over this movie, which works out very well.

*The VERDICT* “Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness” does deliver on *Excitement, Fun, and Marvel Surprises* and it takes you on an almost nonstop action journey. I do recommend seeing it in the best theater you can find because there is so much going on in the Multiverse scenes, I kind of want to see it again soon because I know I missed a lot of easter eggs. Make sure you see “WandaVision” first, I know Marvel likes to combine ongoing story lines in stand-alone films, but this one is very connected to that Disney Plus series. The Summer blockbuster movie season is officially off to a great start.
