“Ant-Man and Wasp: Quantumania” is the latest release from the Marvel universe. Now I thought the other 2 Ant-Man films were worth seeing in theaters, but I don’t think they held up well after that, like I have no interest in seeing them again. So, I’m hoping that “Quantumania” takes the franchise in a new direction this time, and judging by the Previews, It certainly does.
*The MEAT* I’m just glad the story goes to another place this time, actually another world. We seen Ant-Man running around San Francisco growing big and small before. So, just like in “Thor: Ragnarök” they took Ant-Man and the gang to another world and because of that I like the way they took this story.
*The POTATOES* On the acting front I must give two big shout outs to Michelle Pfeiffer and Jonathan Majors. Pfeiffer carries every scene she is in, almost like she is the only one who cares. And Majors is just awesome as Kang again. If he is the big Bad Guy for a while, the MCU is in great hands. As for everyone else, they were ok. However, I will say that Michael Douglas was acting like he could care less. I thought he already retired, and this performance proves that he did a while ago but still wants to collect money.
*The VERDICT* “Ant-Man and Wasp: Quantumania” was a “Good Ride”. It was different and weird but wasn’t very long and doesn’t waste your time. Now, I would suggest seeing “Loki” season 1 first or at least the last episode to understand Kang more, but you don’t have to. And I’m hearing a lot of complaints about Modok, well I’ll I will say is that is a weird character to begin with, what else you going to do with him? Enjoy this one in the theaters, it’s worth it.
