Can these two boys find friendship amidst this age-old blood feud, or are their fates already sealed? Collecting the entire IMAGE+ magazine run and, for the first time, the 13-page, pulse-pounding conclusion plus extra materials, WYTCHES: BAD EGG reunites the Eisner-award winning duo of SCOTT SNYDER and JOCK in a horror-filled romp just in time for Halloween! (S) Scott Snyder (A) JOCK
Smurfs Take> Love Love Loved the Wytches series and excited for its return. Perfect book for today, perfect book for any day really, such a wonderfully dark little book.

Surfs Take> I love the old Horror books. They are some of the best representations of amazing art and storytelling combined. When I see the annual book from Marvel it makes me all nostalgic Marvel has had some great twisted tales over the years and this one looks to be a special one for sure.
Heroes in Crisis #2> Suspected of murder, [REDACTED] and [REDACTED] find themselves on the run from the super-hospital called Sanctuary -with each thinking the other one is the real killer! It’s up to Batman to solve this heinous crime, but suspicion falls on him when Superman and Wonder Woman ponder just how much Sanctuary’s A.I. is telling them. Meanwhile, [REDACTED] tries to make a shady deal to hide from the Trinity, while [REDACTED] searches out an old friend to help him out of this mess-and only gets deeper in trouble. (S) Tom King (A/CA) Clay Mann
Smurfs Take> I will admit I wasn’t sure what to expect with the first issue. Was it gong to be more of a statement based on the current culture climate, a public service to raise awareness. It turned out to be a great lead in story and a decent mystery making you ask all the right questions.
Batman Secret Files #1> Delve into Batman’s case histories and discover brand-new stories by some of comics’ most exciting talents. The BATMAN team of Tom King and Mikel Janin provides a framing sequence, setting up our hand-picked teams of creators to take a look at Bat-mysteries past and present. Featuring a bevy of Batman villains, including a look at how the Scarecrow’s fear toxin affects the common man, and a special story written by Tom Taylor with art by Brad Walker that teams the Dark Knight Detective with Detective Chimp. (S) Tom King, Jodie Bellaire, Ram V., Cheryl Lynn Eaton, Tom Taylor (A) Jorge Fornes, Elena Casagrande, Brad Walker (A/CA) Mikel Janin
Smurfs Take> I don’t know if we really need another Batman title. I will give it a chance and I am excited about the Superman story that is in this issue but I don’t know how long I will stay. Maybe I got burned out from the 90’s with all the different Batman titles? I know some stories to fit into the regular pages and you need a way to tell them. Just please keep it simple with good stories please.
X-Men Black Emma Frost #1> THE DIAMOND DIVA STRIKES BACK!
Before she was an X-Man, Emma Frost was White Queen of the Hellfire Club where she labored under the yolk of Sebastian Shaw, the Black King. Now she sets her sights on the club, determined to tear down the organization that wronged her…if she can convince the X-Men to help out. PLUS: Part 5 of X-MEN BLACK: APOCALYPSE! (S) Leah Williams (A) Chris Bachalo (CA) J. Scott Campbell
Smurfs Take> I miss when Emma had her own series. I miss when Emma was part of the Hellfire club and was a force to recon with. I don’t know if I really miss her as an X-Men? I think the character is great but I hated they felt the need to attach her right away to Scott. With that behind us I am looking forward to seeing where she is going next.
